Lansdowne Resort and Spa

The room was impeccably clean. The entire resort was top notch! The view from our room was simply breathtaking and we had the opportunity to spend time in one of the penthouse suites. We look forward to returning when we are back in the area. Shoutout to Cathleen! Her friendly smile made our day!

I ate at Piedmont - I have to say, over the great food and drinks - Chacko was the heart of the experience. He was accommodating with a smile on his face and made us feel comfortable - thank you and shout out to him, if you don’t give him a raise you’re doing the restaurant a disjustice ;)

Had a wonderful stay at this property, especially one of the employee Shree was super helpful and generous. Overall, great staff and a property. I recommend anyone who is in Virginia and want to have a peaceful stay in the location. Thank you

Had such a wonderful stay. Rooms were clean and the resort itself is beautiful. Sree was very helpful to carry our bags to our cab. Lots of activities to do within the resort. Golf course was stunning! Would definitely visit this place next time

We were invited to a wedding here and decided to take a mini staycation for the weekend. This is a beautiful, restful property nestled behind trees that shelter it from the otherwise busy urban landscape outside its entrance. I booked spa visits ahead of our 4:00 check-in time, which worked perfectly as our room was ready just as we were finishing up. The spa, tucked away at one end of the building is very nice with pleasant staff and pretty outdoor views from the salon portion. We had an early dinner at Coton & Rye before a welcome reception that same night. This restaurant is pleasant and spacious with big comfy couches fronting a huge stone fireplace--a nice spot to watch baseball and football on the two large screens and have a drink. Food here is good, but basic in flavor and presentation, but I would say, appropriately priced. Loved our room with a nice view towards the hills and partial golf course view. The decor is pleasant, with unexpected touches, like a wooden bar cart, a vintage luggage-look dresser, a Lavazza coffee machine with cups and saucers, and nature-inspired pottery and books as well as a large screen TV. Beds were super comfortable, and the bathroom (while showing a bit of age) was also nice with a rainfall showerhead as well as a handheld unit and lots of fluffy towels. Other spa hotels in this class would also likely include a mini bar refrigerator and a microwave, but these are small items, and their absence did not detract from the positive vibe for me. Pros: very clean, good size, nice furnishings and a full closet with a safe, iron and ironing board, great beds, lovely views. Cons: No mini bar or microwave and poor lighting for makeup application. Hallway noise that you can hear in the room does sometimes occur. The overall facility is huge and clearly designed for conventions, office retreats and weddings. Pros here: Awesome, helpful staff, very clean, nice amenities. Cons: If you are mobility challenged you will wish there were more elevators, especially near the Spa Minerale. The flights of steps are beautiful, but daunting for those in wheelchairs or who just can't manage steps. You won't find, in some cases, a direct route to where you want to go. Again, hotel staff are most helpful here and will save you encountering a stairs-only dead end. I'd say this hotel is best for conventions, meetings, weddings, and spa getaways. Activities include golf, pickleball, swimming and nature walks on the property. Nearby Leesburg offers some interesting shopping and dining. Probably would not choose this property for a romantic getaway, mainly because (and this is just my own opinion) it's too large. But we did enjoy our stay here and think others would too.

Do you like 5am fire alarms? Because that’s what hundreds of people had to do two weekends in a row - at least. On my stay, the front desk guy was insanely dismissive about it, telling everyone in the lobby that it was due to them performing maintenance on their electrical panel. What kind of hotel does that?

Great service, waiter was very funny and awesome to talk to. I enjoyed my experience and will definitely be coming back. Food was great and came out pretty quickly. Overall, Chacko the waiter, is the reason I will be coming back. He is a great person to talk to.

Our server Chacko had mazing service, made the experience worth wild . Best waiter in the world and it would not be the same without him definitely deserves a raise. The bread is also amazing and i definitely recommend the chicken tenders and fries!

Excellent service and the landscape is unique! Ask for Mary the waitress at riverside hearth she will treat you like the best guest of the hotel! My wife and I enjoyed every minute at the hotel… ah! Go to the spa .. the best, also if you like tennis the court is available by appointment . Thanks Lansdowne resort!
